FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Sapphire Golf Tour Expands National Presence with New Stops in Maryland and Atlanta Empowering Black Women in Professional Golf, One Historic Swing at a Time
[Washington, D.C.] — The Sapphire Golf Tour proudly announces two dynamic additions to its 2025 calendar: a Maryland tour stop at the prestigious Country Club at Woodmore from August 25–27, and a return to the vibrant fairways of Château Élan in Atlanta from September 28–30.
These additions amplify the Tour’s mission of creating equitable pathways and national visibility for Black women competing at the highest levels of professional golf.
- Country Club at Woodmore, a Black-owned championship course in Mitchellville, Maryland, represents both historic legacy and ongoing excellence in nurturing Black golf communities.
- Château Élan, with its continued partnership, serves as a proud southern anchor—blending culture, luxury, and athletic achievement.
> “These stops represent more than competition—they’re spaces of belonging, visibility, and legacy,” said Lisa Anders, Managing Director of the Sapphire Golf Tour. “We’re not just hosting events—we’re honoring the power of presence and the promise of what’s next.”
> “From Maryland to Atlanta, we are creating opportunities that reverberate far beyond the final round,” said Tarek DeLavallade, Founder of the Sapphire Golf Tour. “This is about equity, culture, and generational visibility for Black women in golf.”
