The world is finally paying attention to women’s sports. But if we’re being honest—that spotlight has rarely centered on Black women.
Especially not in golf.
While headlines buzz about equity, visibility, and NIL deals in women’s basketball and soccer, there’s a quieter revolution happening in a sport that has long held the door closed to Black and brown girls: golf.
The Sapphire Golf Tour isn’t just here to join the conversation. It’s here to shift the culture. For good.
“This isn’t just a tour. It’s a blueprint. We’re laying the foundation for what equity in golf—and women’s sports—can actually look like. Not just participation, but ownership. Not just access, but investment.”
— Tarek DeLavallade, Executive Director, United Golfers Association
The Sapphire Tour was born out of necessity, but it’s sustained by vision. It exists because we believe Black women deserve more than invitations to compete—they deserve institutions that support their entire journey: from junior golf to collegiate programs, to professional play, to post-competitive careers in media, coaching, or business ownership.
And what we’re building isn’t just about the game.
It’s about:
- Economic empowerment. Athletes on this tour can earn income, secure sponsorships, and grow their own brands.
- Cultural visibility. These players are becoming ambassadors, role models, and icons for a generation of girls who’ve never seen themselves reflected on a leaderboard.
- Community transformation. Each city we play in—Atlanta, D.C., Houston, Jacksonville—becomes part of a larger movement. Local engagement. Community activations. Corporate partnerships rooted in real outcomes.
- Legacy. Because when we say long game, we’re not talking about 18 holes. We’re talking about forever.
And here’s the bigger truth: golf has the power to shape lives. It’s a passport to networking, scholarships, business deals, and global opportunities. When we level the playing field in golf, we open doors far beyond the course.
That’s why the Sapphire Golf Tour isn’t just timely—it’s transformational.
We’re not here to ask for favors. We’re here to build a future. For players, for families, for the sport itself.
So if you’re a brand that believes in inclusion—not just as a statement, but as a strategy—we invite you to partner with us. If you’re a donor who wants to leave a legacy of impact, now is the time. If you’re a fan who wants to see the game evolve, share this story.
“The goal isn’t to fix a broken system. The goal is to build something better, from the ground up. That’s what the Sapphire Golf Tour stands for.”
— Lisa Anders, Managing Director
